If you happened to hear about the tornado here in the Cape and at the Beach, rest assured, Cory, Zoe and I survived... though Cory and Zoe were at home when our neighbors watched it cross the street a block from our house. Thankfully, it was one of those little, skinny twisters that cuts a very narrow path, because otherwise, I might not have a condo to sit in right now... let alone a computer to type this onto.
The worst damage from the tornado happened just two blocks from our condo. Cars flipped over, roofs ripped off.
This photo was taken just a few hundred feet from our front door.
Cory and I both took some pictures of the neighborhood today-- but they aren't very good because of the legion of gawkers, fire trucks, roofing contractors, tow trucks and (of course) news live trucks) surrounding some of the hardest-hit areas.
As for us, we're counting our blessings. We lost power for about six hours and thankfully, that's it.
